Paper Trade Associates (PTA) is a manufacturers’ representative organization serving the pulp, paper, and tissue industry across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and New England regions. We were founded on a simple premise: mills deserve reps who actually understand the process — not just the product catalog.
Our representatives bring an average of 40+ years of paper industry experience to every mill visit. That means we’ve worked the wet end, managed press sections, troubleshot threading systems, and rebuilt rolls. When we recommend a product or service, it’s because we’ve seen it work in conditions like yours.
Unlike generalist distributors, PTA focuses exclusively on the pulp, paper, and tissue sector. We know the equipment, we know the principals we represent, and we know what questions to ask before recommending a solution. Our reps are on the road and in mills every single week — available to visit your facility, assess your needs, and follow through.
Tom Morganstern
Territory: Mid-Atlantic to Southeast U.S
Tom has spent his career in and around paper mills, accumulating deep expertise in roll maintenance, press sections, coating operations and air system design. He covers the Mid-Atlantic through the Southeast and is available for mill visits throughout the region. Tom works closely with production managers, machine superintendents, maintenance supervisors, and process engineers to match the right products and services to the challenges they’re actually facing on the floor.

Chris Kellner
Territory: New England & New York
Chris brings decades of paper industry knowledge to mills across New England and New York. With a background spanning stock prep, forming, and converting, he understands the full scope of a mill’s equipment and service needs. Chris is a regular presence at mills throughout his territory and prides himself on long-term relationships built on honest, expert guidance.
